Gopher to Badger Race (Half, 10K, 5K, & Kid Fun Run) (08/08/2026)

Reach across the St. Croix River to greet your Gopher and Badger friends! This Twin Cities-based race starts in the Stillwater, Minnesota area and finishes in Hudson, Wisc. Runners cross the I-94 bridge over the St. Croix River, celebrating the friendly rivalry among these two upper-midwest states. This race has been taking place annually since 1997 and includes half, 10K and 5K distances. Come for the spirit of friendly comradery. Stay for the festivities in Hudson after the race.

2026 Bridge the Valley Bike Rally (08/09/2026)

2026 Townie Tuesday & GBCTA Volunteer Appreciation Event (08/11/2026)

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Gateway-Brown's Creek Trail Association's work. That's why we're again excited to celebrate and honor our volunteers with a special appreciation night at Lift Bridge Brewing in St. Paul.

The brewery will also donate a portion of its sales to support trail work.

We will again have the grill fired up. And trail volunteers eat free.

Please come out and join us. All are welcome.

St. Paul Bike Classic (09/13/2026)

This all-ages event is a great way to enjoy the trails and parks of St. Paul.

Choose one of two great routes, the all-trail, 12.8-mile “Lollipop Loop” or the 29-mile Saint Paul Grand Round. Enjoy three more miles on either ride with a scenic spin around Lake Phalen.

2027 Gateway Trail Candlelight Hike (01/20/2027)

In the dark of winter, this annual favorite is a wintery delight. Hundreds of candles will illuminate a one-mile stretch of the Gateway trail beginning at Wildwood Elementary and traveling south.

Stop by and say hello to board members from the Gateway Brown's Creek Trail Association as you enjoy the bonfires, cocoa, marshmallow roasting, and food trucks.

Parking is available at Wildwood Elementary School. You can also arrive on foot, ski, or bike... but be mindful the event is for walking. Leashed dogs are welcome to take part. We look forward to seeing you!

Ice traction devices are recommended in case of slippery conditions.
