Cycling Scandia Schedules Second Bike Tour

These were some of the comments from the 24 cyclists who participated in the June 1, 2019 Bike Tour “Scandia Rocks and Rolls.” So we’ve scheduled another 2 more . Poster here
On Oct. 5, 2019, Cycling Scandia has scheduled the second Bike Tour “Scandia Rocks and Rolls; Fall Edition. Dale Setterholm, U of M geologist, will take the riders on a 15 mile course through Scandia and Marine with 5 stops for a description of geological features. Informational guide packets will be available so cyclist can follow along. Fee is $24.00. Some geological sites are at the bottom of hills and some at the top so cyclists should be prepared for a few challenging hills. This is a no-drop ride for cyclist 18+. Helmets are mandatory and cyclists are responsible for their own equipment. Safety vests will be provided by Cycling Scandia. This event is non refundable with a rain date.
The tour has two start times 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Interested cyclists can choose best time by signing up through the internet “Brown Paper Ticket”

Only 12 riders per start time so cyclists should be prepared to sign up soon. The ride starts in the parking lot of the Scandia Community Center, 14727 209th St and ends across the street at Gammelgarden museum; with pie and refreshments.
