Due to the frigid and dangerous forecast, Friday's Candlelight Hike on the Gateway Trail has been canceled.
We will look forward to the event again in 2027. In the meantime, stay warm and safe.

Organized by the MN DNR, this annual favorite walk along Gateway State Trail will be lit with hundreds of candle luminaries - from near Wildwood Elementary school to one mile down the trail.
Enjoy bonfires, cocoa, and roasting marshmallows. Food trucks will also be available.
Stop by and say hello to board members from the Gateway Brown's Creek Trail Association too!
Parking is available at Wildwood Elementary School. You can also arrive on foot, ski, or bike... but be mindful the event is for walking. Leashed dogs are welcome to take part. We look forward to seeing you!
